Worship & Quran

The essentials of your day of faith — always free, always from verified sources.

The Holy Quran

The Madinah Mushaf in the Hafs narration, exactly as printed

The WASL reader shows the text of the King Fahd Glorious Quran Printing Complex without any modification, after an automatic integrity check and approval by a religious reviewer. Read whole surahs in Uthmani script, move between surahs, juz and hizb, and return to your last reading position with one tap.

  • Surah index with Meccan/Medinan classification and ayah counts, plus page, juz, hizb-quarter and prostration markers.
  • Arabic search across the mushaf text that ignores diacritics and hamza forms.
  • Bookmarks, saved reading position, adjustable text size, and copying an ayah with its reference.
  • Licensed recitation player: choose a reciter, listen from any ayah, repeat and adjust the speed.

Hifz

A memorisation plan that reminds you at the right time

Add what you know or want to learn as short passages, and WASL schedules your reviews with spaced repetition: the better you know a passage, the longer until its next review (up to six months), and anything you forget comes back the next day.

  • Recite from memory first, then reveal the ayat one by one to check yourself.
  • Rate each review yourself and the next date is calculated automatically.
  • A dashboard of what is due today, how many ayat are in your plan and how many are well retained.
  • Guardians see a summary of their child’s plan in the Family Center.

Prayer & qibla

Accurate times for your location, and the qibla direction

Times are calculated astronomically for your location or a city you choose, with the next prayer, a countdown and a 30-day timetable. The compass shows the qibla in degrees from true north.

  • Recognised methods: Muslim World League, Egyptian General Authority, University of Karachi, Kuwait, Dubai and more.
  • Choice of Asr calculation and a high-latitude rule for northern European summers.
  • Your location is stored rounded to about one kilometre and is never shown to other users.
  • Prayer times and adhkar stay available to children even during quiet time or after their daily limit.

Adhkar & du’a

Reviewed adhkar, each text with its source

Morning, evening and other adhkar are published only after a religious reviewer other than the author has approved them, and every text shows its reference. A counter keeps your place while you repeat.

  • No religious text is ever generated by AI.
  • A clear source beneath every dhikr and du’a.
  • A repetition counter that works with screen readers.

Learning & play

Learn step by step and play to make it stick, with no ads and no purchases.

Academy

Reviewed courses that end with a verifiable certificate

Each course is a sequence of lessons with text, video and short quizzes. No course is published before someone other than its author has reviewed it; religious courses are approved by a religious reviewer, and verses appear only from the platform’s verified mushaf text.

  • Saved progress, a pass mark for every quiz with explained answers, and unlimited retries.
  • A certificate of completion with a code anyone can check on a public page; minors’ names are never shown.
  • YouTube or Vimeo videos load only after you agree, because loading them connects to those services.
  • A discussion group for each course.

Learning games

Games that reinforce what you learn — with no purchases

Three games today: “Arabic letters” to match letters and their names, “What comes next?” from Juz ʿAmma and al-Fātiḥa, and “Order the ayat” to put four consecutive ayat in mushaf order. Points, stars and a day streak motivate without hooking.

  • Challenges only with approved friends and family: you both play the same rounds in your own time, with no chat.
  • Family goals set by a guardian, such as “three games each this week”.
  • No purchases, no random rewards, no gambling and no betting.
  • Verses in games come only from the verified mushaf text.

Family

Parents decide; the platform enforces it on the server.

Family Center

You decide. The server enforces it.

In the Family Center, guardians create their children’s accounts with minimal data — no email or phone for the child — authorise them, set permissions and time, and approve friendships. Mandatory age restrictions can never be loosened; guardians can only make them stricter.

  • Children sign in with a username and a 6-digit PIN on the “Kids login” page.
  • A daily limit in minutes and a nightly quiet time, with the option to exempt the Quran.
  • A child’s friendship completes only when each child’s guardian approves.
  • Follow progress in courses and the hifz plan, and pause or delete the account at any time.

Community & connection

Connect for good, with clear rules and human moderation.

Community & messages

Safe connection with people you know, and study circles

Posts from your friends, family and groups, learning groups and study circles, a People page with friend requests, and private messages — all with interaction rules enforced by the platform and human moderators you can report to at any moment.

  • Messages are encrypted on the server; moderators see only a reported message and a few before it, and every access is logged.
  • Groups never mix adults and minors, and teen groups are run by platform staff.
  • Photos from minors are reviewed before they appear, and metadata such as location is removed automatically.
  • Search is by name only, for people who allow it; children never appear in search.

By age: comments from 13, posts from 16

Right for every age

The age category comes from the date of birth, and features open step by step. These are the mandatory minimums: guardians can tighten them, and nobody can loosen them.
